Plexpass version for Freenas 11.3

In FreeNas 11.2 iocage jail we always had 2 versions of Plex but now in 11.3 it appears there is only one. The ‘Plexpass’ FreeBSD package has disappeared, or am I talking out of the back of my head? Either way when I try to load Plexpass version Freenas says package not available. Can you clarify? Thanks

I’m not familiar with how these FreeNAS releases are made, but for the past few days, the public and beta versions were identical (1.18.6.2368). A new beta release just came out earlier today ( 1.18.7.2415). Are you able to see this or is there still only 1?

You may have answered my question perhaps with 11.3 its one version. Thanks for responding I’ll check later and advise

I have FreeNAS 1.13-U1 installed on my Server and there are now two Plex Plugins:

Does someone know if both have the Plex Pass Features enabled?

The Plex Pass features are unlocked by the Plex account the server is claimed by. There’s no difference in the software itself. Choosing the plain Plex Media Server means you’ll only get plugin updates for the stable public releases. The Plex Media Server (Beta) plugin will (supposedly*) get you Beta versions, too.

*–but considering how rarely the plugin used to be updated when I used it, if you really want beta versions of Plex you need to just make a plain plugin jail and install plexmediaserver_plexpass from pkg and change the jail to use the latest pkg index and not the quarterly one it uses by default.
