Downloading server file for NAS - Plex vs Plexpass

Server Version#:1.14.0.5468-5a0183d2c
Player Version#: n/a

When installing plex on my NAS using pkg within an iocage jail, I know there are two version of Plex. There’s the basic Plex (multimedia/plxmediaserver) but then there’s also the Plex-Pass version (multimedia/plexmediaserver_plexpass)… Can someone please help me understand where there appears to be no Plex_pass version to download directly from the Plex website as a tar.bz2 file?

I’m having major issues where as soon as I attempt to restore my metadata from my previous install into the new install, the server becomes unresponsive and I’m considering downloading the tar.bz2 file for the same version I had installed when it last worked in my old Warden jail, which was 1.13.something or other… lol

Anyways, before I babble on and on, just curious about the download…

The “Beta” is the PlexPass early offering.

A PlexPass enables features. Those features exist in both package files.

PlexPass “Beta” gives you early access to new features.
