Reposting in correct category

Does anyone have a step-by-step setup for how to get gmail notifications to work in PlexPy? I’m not sure what each column needs (I realize this sounds REALLY REALLY dumb). I can elaborate if anybody can help.
Also, is there a way to not have to sign into PlexPy after restarting my server PC? Thanks!

Thank you for the heads up. I have tried everything in the example and still cannot get any type of email notification. My Plexpy logs do not even show that an attempt was made to send the email. I have tried all the port numbers listed and still nothing. I;m not sure it’s supposed to be this difficult so I’m assuming I;m doing something wrong. Here is what I have if anyone has any suggestions. I also have TWC.

Only 3 things I can think of for you to check.

  1. Is notifications enabled under the notifications tab?
  2. TLS check off ( I cant see it in your screen cap)
  3. Do you have any notifications triggers checked off? ( in the same tab as your screen cap but when you click on the bell instead)

If none of those work, I suggest continuing your quest for help on the official thread or even on gitHub.

OMG…I did not realize that the “bell” was a clickable item. Nobody ever mentioned it to me. We can just pretend this never happened… (Thank you!!)

Where is this setup at in PlexPy? I cannot find this setting, and how can I know that a User is notified when an item is added?

I failed to use the Gear on the right hand side of the email notification area. Silly me. Just a heads up to other.
