the is nothing wrong with your post. i have read it and the only reason it is being hidden is the plex pod people aka devs don’t like it. the reason they don’t like it is cause it would they actually do some work.

This needs to happen, ASAP. I’d drop money on a lifetime pass in an INSTANT if they implemented this. I travel for work all the time, and having my 100+GB comic collection available to me would be a game-changer.

Perhaps they can make some sort of link or interface to pass ebook files to Calibre which can already handle all sorts of ebook files, inlcuding EPUB, CBZ, PDF and is also capable of converting ebook file formats.

To me, this is the last feature missing that would make Plex a complete media server (serving Video, Audio… and Text/Comics/Documents).
It’s crazy that this feature is still not released.
Happy to go Premium for PDF/epub support.
Maybe Plex can set up a GoFundMe-style poll for this feature. There’s no doubt a ton of interest and a lot of promises of wanting to go premium if it gets implemented, but I’m sure Plex would rather have hard numbers (and startup costs) before investing time into this. Plex can set a dollar amount they’d need from us to get this feature going, and let the community show how much we actually want it by putting money up (only paid once the goal is hit). Maybe they could make it a potentially premium feature, and only premium users can donate, or just have it crowd-funded and free users who donated get a discounted premium rate afterwards. Yes, a lot of us already have paid for premium accounts, but I for one would definitely put the extra money forward to get this in place.

pdf epuc support would be amzing. the ability to bring your collection anywhere in the world along with your movies and music and tv already is genius. plex plass since foreverrrrr charge us more for pdf, i would easily pay another $100.

This would be a deal breaker for this server
its clear that plex needs more money, instead of making studio deals and bringing us s*** we dont ask for, at this point paying for new features should be a thing… when i paid the $150 plex pass lifetime, it was mainly to support the updates and access to the ios app for free. i never imagine it would have evolved into more and if they need more money i hope they ask the users first instead of making some stupid deal with say verizon or disney.
