This is massive.
I seem to be saying this every time for a couple of releases now, but this is huge. We’ve moved from sort-of-stable to absolutely rock-solid. With a good amount of new features!
(Un-) Watched Markers
We now by default adhere to the common watched markers as seen in other native Plex clients, using the green checkmarks for watched items instead of the yellow/orange unwatched triangles. If you like the old approach, you can easily change this in PM4K’s settings:
Additionally we’ve enabled you to make this even cleaner looking by removing the black backdrop via settings:
And, if you want to, you can now use your own assets for watched.png, unwatched.png and unwatched-rounded.png located in userdata/addon_data/script.plexmod/media/.
No spoilers
We don’t like to get spoiled on episodes, do we? While this has been a long requested feature on the official Plex apps, it’s now a native feature of PM4K. Take a look:
There’s a couple of settings to control this, now, including a setting to disallow spoilers for most TV Shows, but ones containing the following genres: “Reality”, “Game Show”, “Documentary”, “Sport”.

I believe this is the most stable we’ve ever been - from instant episodes watched states to long running PM4K during Kodi sleep states. We’ve also improved the general performance and lowered memory usage, which should be noticeable especially on low end clients.
Translations
Translations are now handled by you guys! We’ve exposed PM4K’s translation files to POEditor (thanks for the free open source license!), so if you want to help, simply apply by joining the project, and help improve this effort.
