PM4K / PlexMod for Kodi (18, 19, 20, 21, 22+)

Which is fair. I’ve only added a Ugoos to my mix because of #1 how many fixes CE in that environment needed, #2 because of how many issues my SHIELD Pro’s had (which is still the most bought “enthusiast” device AFAIK) and #3 because you guys bullied me into getting one

A debloated + downgraded SHIELD is still pretty much the GOAT if you don’t want to get into the enthusiast area. Although, even doing that with your very expensive device puts you into a specialist area already.

Most probably use what they have and PM4K works with that. I don’t regret putting so much time and effort into the fixes for CE, but now that there are builds that deviate from the original audio issues I tried to fix, I have to pick my battles.

Edit: And I have to pick the builds I take a look at. I don’t want to get bogged down with fixes constantly just because there’s development. That would be unfair to the majority of users who don’t need specific fixes as they’re running proper Kodi environments, as that keeps me from developing features.

Edit 2: Auto LAV Full on U3k B9+ for seamless branching issue media is pretty simple and I will implement this. Maybe before year-end, we’ll see. (Based on media ID probably, based on PLEX TrueHD/Atmos Seamless Branch Nvidia SHIELD "BAD MOVIES" ; I don’t know if that’s the best list out there, but it’s the longest I’ve seen)

Edit 3: The idea is:

  • Detect If we’re on a LAV Full build with the feature/setting optional
  • Check if the current file matches an IMDB ID list (+ an optional extra list provided by you)
  • If it’s not disabled, enable it just before starting playback via Kodi settings API while disabling alternate seek
  • revert just after playback
