PM4K / PlexMod for Kodi (18, 19, 20, 21, 22+)

This works flawless, thanks for the fixes @ricelid

I have started to notice that I can forward time sometimes works but other just try to go to the selected timer but keep where it was.

@ruuk do you have a time frame for when you’ll review @ricelid PR?

I guess this issue is still not fixed…?

Some user at github already identified the problem…

Hey - perhaps you could make a PR with the changes here:

That’s where the plex-for-kodi addon actually lives.

Thanks! I’ve merged your changes and also added a Kodi Repository for my development branches.

I would love to test! however, I am having trouble installing the develop_kodi19 branch. Tells me it failed to install ā€œdue to an invalid structure.ā€ Any advice?

[EDIT]: I figured it out! Needed to download the zip from github rather than cloning the repo and zipping it locally (I’m running linux)

If there’s any specific functionality you’d like me to pay attention to, I’ll be more than happy to focus on that!

Hi,

I have a working Raspberry Buster with Kodi and Plex addon, then I wanted to update to Bullseye.
But on Bullseye the Plex addon doesn’t work. If i start a movie with the play button it shows only a picture, but the video don’t start.

I tried a lot of time, and searched on the web for a solution, but I found nothing.
Can you please help me, or suggest an another page where can I get help?

Hey maybe some one can help me out. I have a problem with the official Plex addon and this modified Plex addon for Kodi on my Xbox series S. When I connect my Plex account to the addon I can only see my movies until the letter ā€œTā€ then the list just ends. When searching for a movie that is not on the list it will appear. I also double checked the filter settings and they are set to show every movie.
Thanks for your help.

Plex For Kodi is broken on Kodi 20 (Nexus) for over a month now. It crashes when it starts.

Can you please fix this? P4k is the only way to get AV1 (Direct Play) playback on Plex (on supported hardware)

Here’s the log: http://ix.io/3ZcB

No issues with Kodi 20 (Nightly 20220602-1e848354) here, using my develop19 branch. Which branch are you using?

I’m using the one provided by the Kodi repository. Version 0.3.4.

It still crashing with today’s build of Libreelec.

I will try your develop-19 version

Yes, please. I have no idea how outdated the current official version is. You can use my repository to circumvent that, though. I have posted it earlier.

Edit: the repository will probably fail as I haven’t updated it for 20. You can try, though.

I just did. Completely uninstalled the official one. Then I installed the one from the don’t panic repository.

Same thing. It crashes at start.

Here’s the log: http://ix.io/3ZkV

I deleted the previous log. And then did all over again.

Hope this one is less full of old stuff.

Weird, this is the error: Error Contents: module 'kodi_six.xbmcgui' has no attribute 'ACTION_MOVE_LEFT'.

Not sure how this would happen, and why it doesn’t happen in my case.
Can you find out the version of your kodi-six module in Kodi\addons\script.module.kodi-six\addon.xml for me? It’s not kodi-six’s fault.

Edit: Hmm, look at this.

Which exact Kodi version are you using?

Downloaded from here: https://test.libreelec.tv/hotdog/11.0/RPi/

First an explanation. This hotdog folder is a temporary one. Libreelec devs are making some changes on theirs automatic builder.

This issue is present for over a month now. This hotdogs builds are not the reason behind it.

Forget to add this:

Version info:

Build: 20.0-ALPHA1 (19.90.701)

Git: 20.0a1-Nexus

Compiled: 2022-06-03

I honestly have no idea. I’m running my Plex branch on Windows 20.0-ALPHA1 (19.90.701), Git 20220602-1e84835475 without any issue.

Maybe is something specific to the RPi platform. Do you have one around?

Is there anything else I could do that provides more debugging?
