You can either start a reply by quoting a text, or you can “Copy Quote”, which will also copy the reference to the user, if you’re still editing a reply. The same is possible when editing, selecting a text, then pressing “Quote”, which will append the quote into your currently open text editor.
Hmm, debatable. I’d love to see a setting for this, though. Opt-in/out for always quoting when hitting reply on a post (instead of hitting reply on the thread).
Do you have an idea from where this could originating from? There is no noticable error on the UI, everything works as expected as far as I can tell.
I have PM4K caching requests enabled.
Can you please tell me how to clear the cache? I would do that, and re-test. If the error will be still there, I will provide logs. Thank you.
Nevermind, the long press on Home, Clear all caches I did. I will provide logs soon. BTW, it happens on start.
@panni it happens if I have “Prefer LAN/local servers over security” checked. If I uncheck that, there is no such error line in the logs.
And then if Prefer LAN/local servers over security is checked, then there is error during initial start of PM4K, but everything works.
If I uncheck that, there is the error in the log.
no it’s not Android TV, though you can get Android TV UI, but you’re not using Android for playback media, you need to install CoreELEC on it (very easy) to unlock it’s full potential.
I tried to test it for you but they require a subscription to even start the ‘free’ trial. Even if it doesn’t work via IP control, it’s just a regular IR device so every remote code will work like anything else.
Do you have a whitelists on your 4K GUI resolution? If not then Kodi is doing the upscaling vs your TV, which will generally be worse for PQ on <4K content. Eg, my LG G2 does a better job upscaling vs Kodi upscale.
There is no reason for 4K GUI res on Am6b+/CoreElec-NG. It is just an upscaled 2K GUI anyway since the kernel is not capable of native 4K GUI.
The advantage of 1080p and 120Hz refresh rate is out-of-box TV upscaling and much smoother GUI vs 60Hz in Kodi. If 4K GUI is important then you really should be using a S928X device and CoreElec-NO.
Not true at ALL. Run both and see for yourself. The background and poster art is much more detailed in 4k, using the changes detailed just above, than running in 1080.
Settings question - on first PM4K boot in the upper right is a countup to 100% that says delay after boot. Seems to be about 5 seconds worth. Is there a setting to turn this off? i vaguely remember something during initial box setup (ugoos) but sure can’t find it now.
Well, if one day you switch everything and look, you’ll understand. It’s a very visible difference. I prefer way better GUI details than going from 60 to 120Hz.
