PMC Not seeing my entire library

Player Version#:

OK so I used rclone to mount my Google Drive to my Plex on my Linux cloud server.
OK but whenever I go into the Plex media center and I try to go to the folder that has my TV shows in the folder that has my movies on my Google Drive it doesn’t show but about half of both laugh of the movies in roughly about half of the TV series. But yet if I go to that folder on my Google Drive everything shows up there. And I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong.

  1. Naming - Does it follow Plex stucture ?
  2. Permissions - Does user plex have permission to read it ?

I have not scanned in the movies yet. When you open Plex and tell it this is where your movies are stored I originally noticed I had some misspelled and such so I hit cancel. Then I went to Google drive changed those movies and then went back into Plex I open up the folder I want and when I do it doesn’t change it still shows all the movies pre-change.

For shows I did scan then I noticed only some were showing. Well again when I open that tv folder in the library to say Plex scan this the ones showing in that collum are the ones scanned. No matter how much I add nothing ever seems to change in there.
Its like Plex is not seeing it correctly.
yes it has full read/write permission

Renaming something after it was scanned doesn’t correct it.

In this case,

  1. Delete the library section
  2. Empty Trash
  3. Clean Bundles
  4. Define as new.

(Plex fingerprints files as it scans them – the duplicate detector. If a fingerprint is seen, it breaks out of matching early)

I haven’t scanned anything in
2. done
3. done
4 Dont know how

Ok this is not what is in that folder on my Google drive at all. I renamed all those movies that can be seen in the window. But they never change. This is what I mean that Plex is not seeing what’s truly on the drive.

The naming is not even close to being compliant.

No I changed all that but what im saying is no matter what it never sees that I changed them. It will still show that right there. But if I go to my google drive the movies do not look like that.

See here. Se this is not at all what Plex shows.
Keep in mind this is the same folder.

Going back through this:

  1. If Plex is seeing as you show above
  2. Then Linux is seeing it.
  3. Linux must be caching it somehow (mount settings?)

How would I change that? Or should I ask my server provider?

To make certain I understand;

  1. From the Linux command line,
  2. You can take a directory listing and get the correct contents?

Sorry for my late reply. I messaged the server company. it seems like they’re saying that when they are run the command that lists everything on the server it shows exactly what I see in Plex. They said this.

I would advise you use mergerfs+mount with Plex, especially if you use Radarr. Mounts do not refresh right away and you can not optimize the databases.

And no linux command line shows what is in Plex
