Hi all just started with some new drives in a direct storage device to start ripping my blu rays to.The ripping is fine using makemkv,the problem is that once I’m ready to use Plex I scan my libraries and the movies show up in the home menu and i can search for it no problem and all plays well.The issue is that it is not showing in my movie library,I have tried renaming my drives adding them agian but no joy.I also have to scan the library for that drive to get them to show in Plex at all,a general scan does nothing.Any ideas?
I’m not exactly sure I get your point…
Please confirm I got this right:
- your media is stored on an attached external device (DAS)
- you have a library that is watching a folder with movie files on that DAS
- the scan completed and the movies are showing on the home page (I suppose in a
recently addedhub)
Is it that you cannot see the library or can you actually find it / open it and there’s no content?
If it’s the first… check the navigation on the left and click on More > … if your library is showing there, you can pin it to be visible “by default” (otherwise you’ll always have to look for it in the More > section).

yes showing in the recently added part of the home screen,but not showing in my actual movie folder,either in the main menu or in the recently added.I have come up with a fix of sorts but creating a new movies folder creatively called “movies blu ray” added the drive folder scanned and it all shows in here but still not in my orginal movie folder
still not 100% I’m fully following you…
could you post a screenshot of your folder, the home screen w/ recently added hub and the actual library?
