I have a very strange things going on with PMS on my MacPro (MacPro6,1, Monterey 12.7.3) over the past couple of releases what seems to happen is the PMS software seems to hang but the icon is still in the finder and you can still see the libraries in the player but no content. Eventually after say 10 minutes after the hang the player will then show the exclamation mark at the libraries. The Plex menu bar icon is still there and the app can be closed and reopened and then all the library shares and content become available again.
The Mac doesn’t hang, in activity monitor when it happens I can’t see any Plex processes there that have hung, I have tried several things as I thought subtitles were causing it to hang - noticed transcoding on subtitles - but it did it today when something was being played without subtitles. It’s random as well, so it’s not a particular file formal or codec causing it.
If anyone can shine a light on what could be causing this? Also I have the console log from the Mac that’s running the PMS on, is that ok for a log or is there a separate log inside Plex to post? Sorry I am new to the forum here!
