I have probably the same issue here but on Mac Monterey and PMS 1.29.2.6364. At first I thought it has something to do with remote acces, that’s why I postet here (Remote access works for several minutes then goes offline and Plex Server crashes), but in the end it seems to be same issue or the return of an old bug as you guys have and no one could really help so far even though all were very nice and very supportive… Two weeks back it was so bad that every half an hour i had to restart PMS. Then I reinstalled os X and PMS again, since then PMS ist stable for about 5 days, then shows same behavior, Server still running but not crashing so no logs are here to help resolve this isssue…
Any help to finally resolve this would be greatly appreciated!
If you don’t mind i would like to give you our next beta release and would like to troubleshoot with that - this is currently in alpha and would be beta soon - I will send you a private message with download for 1.30.1.6483
We need to establish if the server is locking up and if the issue still arises in the latest builds
Unfortunately - diagnostics for lockouts are not very easy to get and we would need a core dump as well as the list of connections at the time and of course the debug server logs
I will send you a private message with instructions for using lldb to get a core dump if the issue remains with the latest build
Thank you very much for getting me the coredumps and connections list and logs for the server hang issues. We have just fixed the issue that was impacting dump analysis for Mac M1 and the fix was released yesterday in beta 1.30.2.6563
Please update to this version and get me the diagnostics for the next lockout
If there is a crash as opposed to hang, please get me the logs zip and if you find any dmp file within the $TMPDIR directory created at the time of the crash
Knocking on wood, since I deinstalled “Little Snitch” and “caffeniated” my machine (there was an other issue where the Mac dissapeared from network at all for 15mins, then came back), plex was running for two weeks solid.
Then I had to do a restart for updates and do it weekly since then for automated maintenance (PMS DB backup with Plex not running) so I can’t tell if PMS would run more than 2 weeks in a row…
