HISTORY
Been running PMS for years on this box without issue. Been rad. Since upgrading from the last version of 1.31.0.6654 each server upgrade since caused the error and had to roll back. Simply rolling back by uninstalling and reinstalling 1.31.0.6654 solved the issue. Same faulting error of UCRTBASE.DLL every time.
Once installing 1.32.2.7100, I couldn’t go back by uninstalling and reinstalling and the same error would be present everytime.
ATTEMPTED FIXES
Uninstalled Plex completely & deleted installation directory. Did not fix.
Deleted plex registry settings and reinstalled fresh after reboot. This actually worked for a short time and the server came online finally. Reconfigured server and restarted app, all worked. Great. Edited registry to allow for database to be stored on D:\ (was only thing that was edited) and crash. Didn’t matter if it was a new directory with no db or old db location or whatever. D:\ caused crash in the DLL. Removed the registry edit and let the db create in the default location. Worked. PMS fired up and I let it sit for about 10 minutes. Could access it normally, all was good. Added in my first media directory, seemed to be working for adding content. Was late, canceled and shut down the app to mess with next day as I didn’t want the db on the OS drive. For shiggles, I tried to launch PMS again, and the error appeared and now will not launch nor record error logs.
Once it stopped working I deleted Plex registry settings, still crashes, same error.
Uninstall Plex, delete db directory, reboot, reinstall. Crashes instantly, now nothing event viewer >Application log.
Attempted to install 1.32.3.7089 with the same results.
Was able to get 1.32.3.7089 to launch finally and not crash. Deleted previous directories, deleted registry settings, reinstalled, closed all other related services/apps (Ombi, Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Tautulli, Lidarr) and it worked. Did basic config, claimed server, closed it down, edited registry to change location of db to D:, it launched, started created the db files and folders, then crashed and wont relaunch. It is however, now throwing the error in the error log. If I remove the D:\ db location from the registry, it launches normally again.
