I manage my library a lot using the “collections” feature, primarily to group movies into countries in which they are made. At the moment i have over 30 countries and it starts to be come a pain in the neck to manage all this manually.
I noticed when looking at “movie information” in the Plex client that the country of origin is mentioned already. Therefore could we have an automated system whereby if the user allows, then the movie can be automatically sorted into country of origin. This would save me a hell of a lot of management time and be a good feature Im sure other people would benefit from.

You've seen there is already a "By Country" filter in the clients right? so this is already done client side
Yes I did see this but a lot of the results it throws up are rubbish. An example is in the Italian country it brings up a number of French films that are nothing to do with Italy. Another example is Morocco comes up and in there is Jewel of the Nile!!
So I dont know where Plex gets the info from or how it sorts it, but maybe it needs another “coat of looking at”?

wikipedia lists the same info... (They could be just copying each other - who knows) and themoviedb.org doesn't even seem to track countries..
Maybe some parts of the movie where shot in Italy.
