My server use to work. i recently changed libraries and now it says remote access is available but it most certainly is not. I do not have access to my router for it is a school network. I’m am using ethernet and it use to work earlier today. but it is not now.
Thank you for the fast response. Since posting this I was able to get it working on the local network. I am pretty sure the router here just isn’t configured for remote access. And since I don’t have access to it I’ll just have to use what I got. I will say though I love the idea of a personal stream service. Finally put my raspberry pi to use.
No, you guys were pushing virtualized ip addresses at us instead of publishing our addresses - the network docker uses was being shown. This was happening on my windows box, and my shield. But not the freebsd boxes - but I have plex-relay disabled there.
Also FB group Plex Pals has threads, reddit plex multiples all reporting the same. I don’t have docker or any virtualization installed anywhere except my freebsd box but it’s not having issues as far as I’ve seen.
hi sa2000,
right, now it’s working again. But, i still dont get notification about an update to 1.13.8. Was it postponed? I did have the notification, but its still gone. I am on 1.13.7 and of course selected the beta update channel.
Thanks whomever for addressing this, But you guys really need to invest in a ticketing system and more frequent reports to status.plex.tv. People won’t be as inclined to open dozens of threads reporting the same things in different ways and then team members won’t get upset about too many threads. I mean honestly, when these kinds of things are reported and passed around for days before the key info is put into place it makes me question what I’m paying for as plex without reliable remote access is just kodi. Even if there are bogons in the status updates, at least people will know issues are being looked into.
