PMS just all of a sudden started crashing

With the latest release my DVR just starts to crash. I turned off Malwarebyts and Windows Defender and still the same issue. Thoughts on what might be causing this to crash without me even touching it? Have you folks narrowed it down to any particular .dll or app that has recently started crashing PMS?

from the crash log.

Feb 03, 2017 17:21:20.154 [10172] ERROR - CheckNetIsolation.exe exited with code 0x5
Feb 03, 2017 17:21:20.154 [10172] ERROR - Failed to grant application loopback exemption

Searchd the forum. Some long posts on this several years ago. What is the solution? Loopback utility is not working?

One more thing. Is there a place where lifetime plex pass members can get some sort of support?

Thanks

I would like to know how anyone has resolved this issue in the past?

Are you running an Insider build of Windows 10?

No I am not. I tried the loopback utility and PLEX was already checked. To clarify the entire PMS just crashes. Uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, reinstalled different versions. Nothing, doesnt work.

The next time it crashes (the app actually closes), get the crash logs and upload them for review.

Also, do you have update KB3216755 installed? If so, that has been causing Plex server to crash.

Yes, that update was installed. Attached is the log file.

I uninstalled the latest Windows update as you specified abobe. When I rebooted it PMS worked again! Where can I find more info on this? Is Plex working with Micrsoft to resolve the issue?

If you search the forum for that KB you will find a few threads about it. Yes, the devs are working on a fix for it.

Thanks for your help!

I uninstalled the KB update you mentioned above. Unfortunetly it reinstalled overnight. Is PLEX working with Microsoft on this issue? This is really annoying. I am also NOT on a windows insider preview build. I am on the latest stable built. I do not know why I received this KB update.

Plex Media Server 1.4.1 is now available which has a change that avoids the crashes in the faulty windows DLL CompPkgSup.dll that a lot of users encountered after installing windows update Cumulative Patch KB3216755

Version 1.4.1 is initially being made available to Plex Pass users.
