I can’t find out what’s going on by looking at the logs, but then again I never had to look at them before. It’s crashing every ~1-2 hours. The only change recently was the addition of a new Library (Home Photos). I’ve tried uninstalling Sub-Zero subtitles, since plugins are no longer functioning and I saw a lot of related entries at the logs, but that didn’t stop the issue.
I’ve tried investigating a little bit more to no avail; could someone point me at the right direction? Which log files should I be looking at, and what keywords should I look for?
As a temporary measure I’ve tried creating a task at Windows 10’s Task Scheduler that executes Plex Media Server.exe every 10 minutes. This worked at keeping Plex alive, but unfortunately the web server was unresponsive – so I could see the icon on my taskbar, but right clicking it and selecting “Open Plex” would try to open the webpage and timeout.
Another thing I’ve tried, just a few minutes ago, was removing the “Home Photos” library which was the only thing that had changed since Plex was working normally. I will update if that fixes the problem.
Server has been running happily ever since I deleted the Home Photos library. This isn’t a final solution since I do want to keep that library, and sync mobile photos there as well. Any help, official or otherwise?
