I work on a remote internet connection that is super slow - too slow for watching Plex, but I can download files for offline viewing (new episodes of TV shows). I usually do this through Plex.tv remote access.
Due to the speed of the internet, I typically have set a few shows to download and then leave, and when I want to use the internet, I pause the downloads in Safari, do what I need to online, and then resume the plex downloads when I’m finished.
Over the last 3 weeks, Safari won’t let me resume downloads from Plex anymore. I don’t think it’s Safari because the option is available when downloading from some other sites, but when I try to resume a download from plex.tv, it just starts over again - which is quite annoying when I’ve got 80% of a show already downloaded.
Has something change in a recent version of PMS that no longer supports resuming of http downloads? Can someone else test this on their server (maybe on a windows client) and see if you can pause and resume the download of a media file?
These are optimized files if that makes any difference.
