I add new files pretty frequently, having last successfully added files on 12/29, but the files I added yesterday (1/1) aren’t showing up. I double checked the file naming schema (no problem), the permissions are fine since the files were just new episodes of existing shows, delete trash is always enabled. I tried dragging a test file out, manually deleting the trash, and dragged the file back in. I can see the Activity icon active, but nothing shows up. So then I tried I file that it had successfully added in last week and that I’ve already successfully watched in Plex. I dragged it out and the Activity icon was active the file remained displayed in Plex - huh? For fun, I tried to play it and it said it couldn’t find the media (well at least that’s logical). So I deleted it out of Plex, click OK when it asked if I wanted to delete the file of my system (which is odd since there was no file for it delete), manually emptied my trash and then dragged it back in. Activity icon spinny-spin but now that file isn’t showing up. So, I don’t think it’s bad media, bad naming schema, bad permissions…but I can’t figure out what changed (other than the year?).
