Server Version#: v1.18.0.1913
I am currently setting up my new Nvidia Shield Pro as my Plex Server. I have attached a 1T SSD drive (powered via USB) to my Shield and pointed my Movie and TV Show Library to their respective folders in the Nvidia Shield folder on my SSD.
When I try to access the content in either of these libraries on my TV via Shield I get a message “Error Loading Content. The content failed to load. This may be because your servers are unavailable or your Internet connection is down. Check your connection and retry.” My Shield is hardwired to my router and is online.
When I access these Plex libraries from my computer I am able to see and watch the content that is in the SSD Nvidia folders. From my computer if I go to the Plex web app and go Manage Library>Edit>Add Folders>Browse Media Folders>Nvidia Shield>Movies it shows the movie in that SSD folder.
I shared my libraries with my partner’s account and she is able to see/watch the content in each of the libraries.
I factory reset my Shield and then reattached and remapped my external SSD. I was then able access and play the content through my Shield on my TV. The next day when I went to go access it again I got the Error Loading Content message again.
I even tried with a different external HDD that has its own power supply (not reliant on USB power). I was able to access the content on my Shield and then when I came back some later that afternoon I got the same Error Loading Content message again.
So the initial connection to the Shield’s PMS Library is there but then the connection seems to get broken and can’t re-establish. It would be more clear if none of the content was accessible from anywhere else, but since I can play the content on my Plex web app and same with my partner… I am bamboozled.
I am have been scouring forums/subreddits and I haven’t been able to find an answer… It is driving me bonkers. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
