PMS on QNAP <QTS 4.3.4

Also I can bet that Synology x86 version can be work on QNAP with few mods.

“…with few mods” ?

Are you sure of that? If so, care to tell me how?

I would need to test it, But I guess Binaries with right Libraries could work, I’ll try to recompile Synology x86 version SPK (Binary is generic so quick SSH run partially worked) to QNAP QPKG and see how it goes. Not sure will have time soon, too much on head.

I would rather like that someone from Plex tell me what they require and I’ll try to provide them with right files. @ChuckPa I replied in other thread with list. We can go in PM for more direct talk.

I have the exact same problem. A copy of your qpkg would be greatly appreciated. Could email me a copy on solbech@gmail.com?

Hi everybody, I’m stuck with a Qnap 32bits (ts-809u) and I can’t find a plex server dpkg file for 32bits system
anybody can help me? please?
I’m ready to build it myself with source file, if it’s the only solution.
thanks

Plex really should make the last version they made before THEY discontinued support available.

Maybe we should start a petition to get them to make it available.

“The decision is not ours.”

YES, the decision IS yours Plex. Users purchased a software from you Plex, not QNAP for Plex Media Server. Many of these like myself are lifetime members and supported the company before it was popular.

So you can understand our frustration of not supporting those customers which supported you as a company.

Just for the record. If you navigate to QNAP’s website, Select “Solutions” from the top blue menu bar and select “NAS for Plex”, then click “Tutorial” they show the following at the bottom of the page:

  1. Plex Media Server is available on x86-based QNAP Turbo NAS.
  2. Plex Media Server is availableon Marvell ARM based QNAP Turbo NAS, but the application is unofficial and may run differently.

Hi Peke,

Just wondering. I’m running PMS 1.9.6.4429 on my TS-509Pro with 4.2.6, a 32 bit system x86 I guess. Would PlexMediaServer_1.14.1.5488-cc260c476_x86.qpkg work for me? If so, I’d much appreciate if you mail me a copy to patrik.wersall@gmail.com.

Thanks! //P
