PMS on Ubuntu - Wrong default audio language for home user

Hi all,

I am facing a strange issue and could not find a solution yet. Hopefully someone can help me to solve this.

Setup:

  1. PMS 0.9.16.3 64bit on Ubuntu / preferred default language => german
  2. Plex Pass Main Account / global app settings: preferred default language => german
  3. Home User
  4. Plex Account

The Plex Pass main accounts preferred language for movies/series is set to german. When I am now logging in with a home user account, the default language for all movies is set to english.

After reading through the forums a while I found a post mentioning, that the home user needs to be created after the servers default language was configured, otherwise the settings will have no effect. So after Ive ensured that the language in the server settings was configured to german, Ive created another home user. Unfortunately the issue still perists, the second home user is also having english as default language.

Next try was to create another Plex account (non Plex Pass of course) and have it invited as a friend. In this particular setup the Plex account movies are set to german, as configured on server.

Any ideas, why the default language set on server is not used for the home users? If I change the language manually for each movie, it is saved of course, but I would like to avoid changing the language manually for each movie file.

For anyone who might face the same issue. The only solution to have this fixed was to change the settings directly in the database.
