Default language not applied in multi user Plex

Hello

Following this thread that was closed; Default language! ; I would like to raise a very annoying bug I am currently facing

Setup:
Plex server on Synology nas 918+
Playing on multiple devices: ipad, iphone (ios13), samsung tv tizen or nvidia android shield.

My main user account : set in FRENCH; all movies; videos I am playing are using FRENCH as main language.
All other users accounts : set in FRENCH; are displaying the movies in ENGLISH. All the time :frowning: all files; no matter if english audio track or french audio track is set in the MKV file for example.

Very annoying for children use as they don’t know how to read, go to settings for each movie and manually go to french each time :frowning:

I have created the accounts, logged into each of those, set the preferred language etc in French; so I really don’t understand what can be possibly wrong. Always english. Except main account that works ok.

Any config/setup files messed up ? Can I go edit some file on the syno that maybe does propagate the default audio properly ?

Any help would be tremendously appreciated (and again, editing MKV files manually to set the language is not helping, each time it reaches out the english audio track :()

Yes; I also commented there, but I just discovered this morning that actually, the main account is playing the audio as selected; all is about the “other user accounts”; so maybe there’s a bug in the language selection for those ones… ?

Hello

Just to add : I reverted (uninstall on Syno; and install the default package from Syno : Plex Media Server ##### Plex Inc 1.16.5.1552-8e8d0c785)

And then, I went to each user account, switched back to ENGLISH; saved, restarted, and then set FRENCH.

And now all is magically working

So clearly, 1.18 server as a regression when it comes to user accounts !!!? Hope a dev will look at it ! Right now I need to remain at 1.16 :’(
