I have a variety of issues on my server which I have tried to resolve through normal means but have thus far been unsuccessful, driving me to more extreme alternatives.
My server is an Unraid box (6.12.3), running about 28TB of storage. I’ve been running PMS in a Docker since sometime in COVID so I guess my current instance is about 3 years old.
The primary issue causing annoyance is that I cannot access the PMS logs. Clicking on download logs causes a ‘500 Internal Server Error’. I’ve tried repairing the database using both Binhex’s proprietary database cleaning tool and by following several other more general guides however I have no evidence anything made any difference.
Another issue is that Live TV sourced through a HD Homerun tuner is very glitchy. The setup steps refuse to recognise an XML address provided by a DVR guide provider so I have to rely upon the freely available guides, which aren’t great. Playback through either an NVIDIA Shield or Chromecast with Google TV frequently crashes randomly and the DVR refuses to accept recordings on some channels.
I’m thinking of a wholesale reset of my server but I want to do it with a minimum of impact to my current status. I’ve got the full suite of arr apps pointing at Plex and about 30 friends frequently streaming. So I’m looking for advice on how to reset Plex but maintain all my settings and connections.
