Hello! I’m running Windows 10 Pro & Plex Media Server (Lifetime Pass) on a 1 TB WD SSD (with other SSDs for “live tv” recordings & music). In the past, I have not had problems installing the PMS updates. However, I cannot get 1.24.5.5173 to stay updated. I have restarted the PC, but the “server update arrow” continues to display. It acts like it is downloading it & updating it, but it doesn’t. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Are you connecting directly to your server’s IP address?
If so, you might be running into a bug in Plex Web. It is fixed in the hosted version, app.plex.tv.
Connect to your server via https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/ instead of to the server’s IP address.
Plex Media Server 1.24.5.5173 ships with Plex Web 4.63.0.
Display bug fixed in 4.66.1 (announcement).
Current hosted version is 4.68.0.
The local version of Plex Web always lags the hosted version. Plex usually updates the local version when new Plex Media Server versions are released.
