PMS package running but not responding

Server Version#: 1.16.3.1433-359b06978-x86_64
Player Version#: Web

Late today PMS stopped responding.
The package shows as running but I couldn’t find any processes for the service.
It has a total of .03 secs CPU time
I’ve rebooted. Reinstalled the latest version.
Restarted the package time and again.

All to no avail.

I’m using a DS216+II running DSM 6.2.2
It was running OK until then, apart from being unusually slow to start playing anything

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[edit] I just found that a post scan finds 32400 open, but that’s all

Not a Synology expert, but did you see and act on Plex Media Server security changes for Synology users

Does the Syno PMS open at all when you:

  1. Sign out of the web browser (Plex/web) in the upper right corner.
  2. Open an incognito window
  3. Open http://ip.addr.of.syno:32400/web in that browser window
  4. Sign in.
  5. Synology’s Dashboard of your media shows.

Doesn’t connect just like normal non incognito

Yeah, temporary I have added Plex to admin to make sure it can access everything it needs

Control Panel - Shared Folders - Plex share
EDIT - Permissions - Add your username as R/W if not already done.

Now open File Station, Plex share
drill down until you see Logs
Right -click -> Compress to Logs.zip

attach those logs please.

It seems to have been the permissions.
I installed Plex again, then rechecked them and rebooted and it’s now accessible.

I wish to see the logs.
DSM requires your username have R/W permission in the Plex share in order to create the zip.

Please reread my instructions.
