There was no evidence of a Clean Bundles related crash in the logs I had from you for the 16th October issue

No further crashes on 1.29.1.6319 when running any scheduled task, thank you!

Thanks for the logs

They show a Clean Bundles at 08:53 but the server continued to run after that without crashing

and the last log entry before the relaunch of Plex Media Server was at 09:05:45

If there was a crash at 09:05:45 then it was not the clean bundles bug

Please can you check Windows Event Log through Event Viewer - checking the Application log in Windows Logs and seeing if there was a Plex Media Server error at around 09:05:45 on the 25th October - you relaunched the server at 09:20:54

Also could you see if there a dmp file within %LocalAppData%\CrashDumps
If you find out for this time please zip and upload somewhere (dropbox/google etc) and send me link by private message)

Thanks for looking over the log bundle. Nothing recent in %localappdata%\crashdumps, however there was indeed a crash of Plex Media Server.exe at 9:05:45 and 2 events in the Application log of Windows Event Viewer with this time stamp.

Could you see if you have the regedit mentioned here Crash Logs: Plex Media Server | Plex Support - it should result in windows capturing application dumps into %LocalAppData%\CrashDumps

This registry key did not exist so I created it. I’ll upload a dump the next time it crashes.

Thanks

and the server logs zip

Thanks

FYI, the latest Beta channel release, 1.29.2.6334, does NOT crash when bundles are cleaned.

Yes the fix has got released

Thanks for the dump and logs. The crash happened after a database access lockout of about 2 minutes. We have an issue at the moment that is under investigation for sqlite db exceptions not being trapped leading to crashes.

The lockout was caused by a TV Library scan for a library that is still using the old scanner and hence running as a separate process - My advice is to migrate the TV Libraries to the new scanner which has been out for a while now - see Migrating a TV library to use the new Plex TV Series Agent/Scanner | Plex Support

This should mitigate the problem and reduce the chance of extended db lockouts

Thanks,
I’ll upgrade the library. I had been avoiding this because I found over the years that I needed to customize a good number of the items in some of my libraries in order to get a proper match. I avoided the upgrade because I didn’t want to have to verify their contents manually, but if it’s causing instability then I have no choice.

Thanks!
