@Omnibaer 's fix definitely still works as of 5/29/2018. My PC had 5 occurrences of the GUID in the registry. After deleting the GUIDs, make sure you reboot your computer. Revo Unistaller Pro did not fix my Plex problem, but I may not have used it correctly. It did find many registry loose ends.
pms-shutdown error HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\416DA2995EFF8524BB65E957312E2112 registry the key might be different but the only thing to look for is pms-shutdown and delete it work for me.Download the new plex install
