PMS stops and can't run it

Server Version#: 1.27.1.5891-c29537f86

Hi all!

I had my PMs running fine on a synology DS918+. I had 2 units of 6TB in SHR (WBFS format). Yesterday system was restarted by a power failure. As soon as DSM restarted HDD1 started to launch I/O errors. I turned off NAS and removed this unit, rebooted and everything is working fine (With Volume 1 degradated, but fine) except Plex Media Server.

When I click on Launch, it seems to start but it stops in a couple of seconds.

I tried to unisntall PMS and reinstall it without removing DB (i don’t wan to loose the huge DB) and the problem persists…

Any idea what is happening?

NOte: The startup crash.log says:

Jun 17, 2022 09:32:15: Failed to initialize logging: Empty or non-existant file.

The last error from Plex Media Server.log is:

Jun 16, 2022 22:56:40.951 [0x7fdcf52a6b38] ERROR - Thread: Uncaught exception running async task which was spawned by thread 0x7fdcf3f8eb38: sqlite3_statement_backend::loadOne: database is locked

This last log doesn’t update more from a few minutes after this error.

Post at the forums, they said.

They have a great support, they said.

Sorry you haven’t gotten any assistance… it seems this is a rather specific issue that’s most likely linked to the previous HDD failure and how DSM presents itself to Plex afterwards.
Beyond… the single-line of logs isn’t much to go with (except noticing there has been an error).

And, what can i do to make pms work without erasing entire db?

As I wrote… based on the 2 lines of logs, I have no idea.

Can you post your server logs? we might be able to see something you missed.

Yes, of course. Here you are:

Plex Media Server.log (1.1 MB)

Thank you so much for all your help.

Im not seeing anything in that one log file, can you access http://[Local Plex Media Server IP Address]:32400/web and see if it loads?

@ivan_nm_yahoo_es

Would you mind making a ZIP file of everything in the Logs folder and attaching that?

It will allow me to look further back and see what previously happened.

I doesn´t load.

I run it from package center. it says “starting”. A few seconds after it says “open” y changes again to “Run”.

I can’t launch it anymore

Yes, of course.

Here you are: WeTransfer - Send Large Files & Share Photos Online - Up to 2GB Free

it weights 70 mb, so i had to upload it on wetransfer.

Thank you

Thank you. I have it.

I would like you to

  1. Uninstall the package with the KEEP option (this is the default action)
  2. After that completes, please restart the Synology
  3. When you sign back in, reinstall the same package again.

This should take about 5 minutes to complete.

I am seeing errors in your logs.

  1. Have you placed any media in the PlexMediaServer shared folder?

  2. Have you used FileStation anywhere in the PlexMediaServer shared folder except to get these log files?

  3. Approximately how many media files, including movies, tv episodes, songs, and photos do you have indexed into PMS?

Also, what is at this address please?

Jun 16, 2022 02:41:59.003 [0x7fcb9b5e8b38] DEBUG - CERT: incomplete TLS handshake from 172.17.0.8:34754: Connection reset by peer
