PMS stops and won't start again

PMS stops and doesn’t start again.

Also can not be started manually via settings.

Workaround is to restart the Shield.

before you restart the device. If you go to the Settings> Apps and look for Plex Media Server. does it show as still running? Is there a force quit option (that option goes away if not running)

I’m trying to determine if it actually crashed or just frozen

I didn’t check if the PMS app it self was running or if the force quit option was available.

I did try to ping the Shield which was fine.
Also went into PMS settings where is was in “stopped” state.
Selecting the stopped icon displayed something like “starting PMS” but it never did.

I understand. I just mean if it happens again it may be a useful data point to check. Looking at your last few logs it appears to have been told to stop running but not sure if that is when you restarted the Shield

generally its been pretty stable after the last issue reported. Any idea why the Live TV is stopping playback? Also a recording failed to start its a bit all over the place the tuner is HD HomeRun Connect 4 tuners.
