Ric, I’m also running Lacie drives connected to my Mac Mini. Did Monterey change the Lacie disk permissions that you had to update after upgrading to Monterey?
You didn’t state how the Lacie drives are connected to your Mac… (USB, TB, FW, etc.). You also didn’t state what/if any problem you were having. Are the drives visible to macOS Finder? Are they only missing form Plex?
Did the drives require drivers to work with previous version of macOS (uncommon, but not unheard of)? If so, then you might need updated drivers for Monterey.
Ric, I have not upgraded to Monterey yet. Still doing my research. My Mac Mini Intel is Monterey compatible according to Apple. Currently my Lacie 4 and 8tb NTFS drives are connected via USB - running for quite some time with no issues using Tuxera NTFS. They are not the boot drive. Booting off of the internal Mac drive. PMS on the boot drive. Lacies are for library file storage. So, trying to determine if Monterey reset permissions on the Lacies or just the Mac boot drive.
Sorry Frank - thought Ric had asked the question.
Why don’t you reformat the drives to Mac OS Extended (Journaled), they should run faster I think. I am not sure about NTFS drives re permissions. I had to allow the LaCie driver under Mac Security & Privacy (not sure for Windows) and had to reboot the system. Mine is M1 with 3 x LaCie *RAID Thunderbolt drives. *This may not be necessary for you: If you have RAID make sure the you have the correct LaCie RAID Manager v2.9.3.225 for the M1 (think the same one works for Intel as well). Make sure that you disconnect the LaCie drives before updating the Manager. Hope this helps.
