Just wanted to add that this problem has expanded beyond my home network to all my friends I share with. It seems that anytime someone plays a file at Original 1080p or higher, their client starts buffering and they have to stop playback and start again. Kinda frustrating.

Have you conducted speedtest of both your wired and wireless LAN?
How does this compare with the upload and download you should be receiving?
