Issue started about 2 versions back, it was rare at first but since updating to most recent Plex version, Plex Media Scanner will start off normal and then suddenly jump to using 19GB + of system RAM, which then causes a cascade of crashes across the system. Logs available upon request. Latest crash occurred at 2:25AM 1/30/24

At least I know it’s not just me but mine are scheduled scans at specific times. Still fits the MO of it though, thank you. Hopefully this is checked out and fixed, thanks for your reply.

Try disabling credit detection to see if stops crashing during your nightly maintenance jobs.
So I went ahead and did that last night, while the server did not come to a screeching halt this time, I noticed that this time just pms crashed. I may roll back and check my results as this was not an all the time thing with previous versions. It would happen once in a while.
