Podcasts are downloaded over and over again

Podcasts that I save with Downloads & Sync on my Android phone and delete after listening to it, are downloaded again on my phone after restarting the Plex app and logging in.

I have already reinstalled the app, but that has not helped. Not even after I turn off the phone completely (to clear the cache). The same thing happens on my wife’s phone.

Is there a bug in the app?
