I discovered a really strange issue whereby I had podcasts setup to sync (download for offline listening). Finally, one podcast I decided I no longer wanted to listen to and I noticed the other day that it continues to sync this podcast. If I delete the downloaded content the next time I launch the mobile app it downloads it again… eeek help!
Hi shaneonabike,
did you try to reboot your server? Might be that the OS or Plex cached some of the data and didn’t notice it’s already gone, restarting usually fixes this issue.
I don’t think that I understand your suggestion. This is on the mobile app which is syncing data. It has been restarted a few times, and for reference sake the actual server has been rebooted and/or offline depending.
I have the same issue on my Android mobile device. I will restart the server as I know that it keeps track of what is downloaded on each device and when you sync your device it will use the server to see what needs to be on the device.
When I go to my server and look at the sync for my device it has nothing listed. I use a managed profile on my device. It is also missing some other devices that I know I have plex content synced to them as they are my kids tablets that we use for long drives.
