Poor Photo Quality

I’m not sure if this should be in the NAS forum, but I’m running Plex from a Synology NAS in case that matters.

If I try to watch any of my photos on my TV or Monitor from any of my devices (Amazon Fire Stick, Chromecast, Chrome Browser on Windows) then the picture quality of my library photos looks very poor. Using Chrome on Windows, I’ve looked at the generated HTML which for one of my images is:

<div style="background-image: url("blob:http://192.168.0.21:32400/9639f25d-2a10-4eb5-996a-81484ccb022f"); background-size: cover; background-position: center center; width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; z-index: 2;" class=""></div>

Looking at the actual blob image shows that the browser renders it is as:

<img style="-webkit-user-select: none;background-position: 0px 0px, 10px 10px;background-size: 20px 20px;background-image:linear-gradient(45deg, #eee 25%, transparent 25%, transparent 75%, #eee 75%, #eee 100%),linear-gradient(45deg, #eee 25%, white 25%, white 75%, #eee 75%, #eee 100%);cursor: zoom-in;" src="blob:http://192.168.0.21:32400/9639f25d-2a10-4eb5-996a-81484ccb022f" width="748" height="498">

So, a width of 748 and a height of 498 is always going to look poor when upscaled/stretched on a TV which is why I think they are probably looking poor quality.

Is there any settings that I should have on to always show the full resolution image?

Or, do you think this is a NAS issue and that I should post in that forum?

Thanks

No-one else with poor quality photos?

I have the same exact problem, streaming from windows hard drive.

Is there no option for 4K+ Photos and images? Why not?
