Yes, please put some development time behind this.There are many times that the movies in the collection are not of similar name so its difficult to remember the name. I shouldn’t have to consult google while on plex to look up the name

Been waiting for proper implementation of Collections for years…
YES YES YES! This would be a fantastic upgrade. I just started to play around with Collections, and have already stopped, because as they are, they are pretty useless. They are very hard to find in the Win10 app UI, and - near as I can tell - are not exposed at all in the Android or Roku apps.
At just the basic level, I was expecting them to be surfaced in the libraries list, similar to Playlists, but maybe without auto-play from one item to the next like playlists.
Your idea is FAR more fleshed out though. The only thing I can think of that I would add to your very thorough proposal would be to have “Collections” surfaced in the libraries list, just like “Playlists” are. That’s the only thing I’d add.
I support this proposal **100 percent ** though!

whatewer is done with collection improvement in plex the point is to be able to manage collections easily when re-organizing and remaking libraries

Hi I have tried to use the collections filter, I edited a library to use the movie database and ticked use collection Info. When selecting the collection filter nothing happens. Is there anything I am missing. I am one below the latest pms version. Any help would be appreciated. I have casted my vote on as many threads as I can find

For anyone interested, I spent a little time and pulled all of the posts related to “Collections” (that I could find) into sort of a summary post with counts. Its pretty interesting to see how many posts there were on the same idea and how popular a lot of them were. Just goes to show how many people are interested in this feature and also on how little attention it seems to be getting from the development team :-/ Maybe by pulling together some stats we might be able to encourage some actual progress?
Is it really that difficult to add this feature? I use Kodi for this reason alone. I don’t understand why this would be a popular but outstanding request for years now
