I upgraded my Xfinity modem due to issues I was having with it. When I came home I had to switch modems Abd use the xfi app to transfer my settings from my old modem to new one. But ever since I did that nobody in the house can access the server at all. I’ve tried changing ports four times now the enable remote access has a exclamation point by it. I try changing ports and the thing will go green for a few seconds and then go right back to red. I am at a loss on what to do can someone help
Is this an Xfinity modem/router, and if so is xFi Advanced Security turned on? Many people have reported this causing remote access issues, and turning it off has resolved the problem.
Yes it is a Xfinity router modem. I will shut that off after work and restart my system so see what happens
Check the Troubleshooting Remote Access document. It mentions Xfinity xFi port forwarding and advanced security (at the bottom of the page):
