Port Forwarding With Century Link

Hi. My automatic mapping works for a while but then it fails and the only way to fix it is to restart the modem. So I am assuming my modem must stink so I need to manually do port forwarding as it states. But I need some help.

Century link says to do this:

http://internethelp.centurylink.com/internethelp/modem-pk5001z-adv-port-forwarding.html

Obviously my modem is a pk5001z from century link.

But I am still uncertain what numbers I need to fill in which spot for the correct Plex setup.

Can someone walk me through this?

P.S. I am sorry if these instructions are posted somewhere else. I searched and couldn't find anything.

Thanks.

Manually Enter IP Address: give here the local LAN IP Address of the PC running Plex Media Server. ipconfig will tell you what it is

(But you should make sure it never changes - so find out how to use dhcp reservation to set an IP Address for the MAC Hardware Physical Address)

ipconfig /all

will give you the Physical Address (MAC Address)

LAN Port Information:

Starting Port 32400

Ending Port 32400

Protocol:

TCP

Remote Port and IP Information

All IP Addresses

Apply

On the Plex Media Server myPlex settings

http://localhost:32400/web/index.html#!/settings

Show Advanced Settings

myPlex

Tick Manually Specify Port and enter 32400

Retry connection

Hi.
I followed all of the instructions that you listed, which were very clear.
However, when I hit Apply, I received the following message:

The defined port or port range is in use by another port forwarding or application rule.
Visit www.centurylink.com

When I try another port in the range suggested by PLEX (20,000 - 50,000) (I used 45000) It works. When I manually enter that port in the PLEX server config and apply, I still don’t get any remote connection available.
Please advise if I did something wrong, or if I missed something.
