Possible Bug?... and a couple of questions

Good Morning,

 

I'm a recent convert to the Plex ecosystem (though a long time XBMC user), and so far I'm thrilled with the entire setup.  The icing on the cake though has been Rasplex.  I actually sold/repurposed my dedicated HTPC's (an i3 and a dualie celeron) and replaced them with Pi2's.

 

In any case, everything has been working peachy and the WAF is through the roof.  But of course now that things are working well, it's time to tweak.  However as soon as I enabled "Adjust display refresh rate to match video" the system locks up 80% of the time when trying to play a video... so theirs that.

 

My setup varies a bit (depending on the room), but the one I spend the most time in looks like this -->

 

 

Rasplex RPi2 (no OC, hardwired) --> Marantz SR5008 AVR --> Samsung F6400 (everything connected through HDMI)

 

 

The other (very minor) issue I'm having is that I can't get FF/RW to work on my harmony remote.  I'm using a FLIRC reciever and the Plex profile... just can't get FF/RW to work.

 

Anyways, any suggestions that can be provided I will appreciate.  I can provide logs once I'm back home from work.

So I tracked down the problem to having "HDMI Passthrough" enabled on the receiver... despite the fact that it's something I never used.  As soon as I disabled that, everything started working perfectly fine. Hopefully this helps someone else out.

I still have a few items I'm trying to track down, regarding optimal video settings, but I'll see what I can turn up in google before posting here :)
