I have the animated He-man and Animated She-Ra Series that I am creating as TV shows. Both of them have a joint Christmas Special and a joint movie called “The Secret of the Sword”. Ideally, I would like these two specials to be listed in the “Specials” of each TV Series, but I don’t want to have to duplicate the movie file (takes up extra HD space). Is there a way to add some type of shortcut to let PLEX know to list the resource found in another folder in that TV Series, or is duplicating the file the only way to achieve this?
Thanks so much - I figured it wasn’t possible but thought I would ask. I do plan on getting Plex Pass once I set up my NAS system - waiting on the tax return to come in so still just doing prep work and library organizing.

If you are looking for a NAS, check the NAS - Plex Compatibility Guide, link in my signature.
I recommend an Intel powered Synology or QNAP model if transcoding is a requirement.
Thanks so much, as of now I am planning on the Q-Nap TSV-871 with the Intel i7 Processor, 16GB RAM, and 3xWD Red Pro 8TB Hard Drives in RAID-5 for storage with 2x1TB SSD drives for cache. Hoping this will be more than adequate to be a good Plex Server and do a few other things too!

The QNAP TVS-871-i7 is an excellent choice and should serve you well. I would brush up on your Linux skills though, they may be needed when using QNAP OS, but otherwise it’s a very nice NAS.
Glad to hear I am making a good choice I am new to Linux, so it will be a learning experience!
