This issue has been going on for years and it still hasn’t been resolved, in fact it’s purposely being ignored by Plex because I’ve reported it more than once and nothing has been corrected.
I have the post play autoplay turned off because I NEVER want the next TV episode in the season to play automatically. However, the next video up does in fact ALWAYS play automatically if that video is under 5 minutes in length.
If a video is 5:00 or longer it brings you back to the Plex menu as it should and doesn’t play the next video. But if the video you just finished is 4:59 or shorter it immediately starts playing the next video in the season as soon as the current video finishes.
I’ve reported this before as far back as early 2019 and it still isn’t fixed. Plex, what is your problem? No post play means NEVER play the next video automatically! It doesn’t matter how long or short the current video is, when it’s finished it should always bring you back to the menu, unless you have the post play autoplay turned on of course, but I don’t!
Plex is constantly adding new features (many of them useless) yet they can’t find the time to address something as annoying as this, for literally years!
It’s extremely annoying to setup a TV show library for music videos or DVD special features that have many videos which are less than 5 minutes and they all will just play the next video automatically because of this bug!
Plex please fix this! You’ve clearly had enough time, there is no excuse for this idiotic behavior to be allowed to continue unless you simply don’t care about this gaping hole in the firmware.
