If a video poster frame is changed by uploading a new image on the PMS, it displays correctly when viewed in the web interface, but is not shown when viewed in the TV app. The TV app displays the original poster image, not the new one (even after closing the app and restarting).
Not sure if this also applies to music files as I’ve only changed video files so far.

I occasionally have the same issue with changes I make on the server not showing up on my Fire TV
Yes, even after closing the app and reopening it. Sometimes it works fine and others it doesn’t. Not sure what the issue is but you might want to clear the cashe or force stop the app on the TV.
I have actually had to completely power off the Fire TV and restart it
I wish they would add some kind of refresh button on the TV app
Thanks for the reply. I have a Samsung NU8070 and there doesn’t seem to be any way to clear the apps cache or force stop anything. Very annoying as the previous Plex app version worked perfectly.
