Posters of custom content show on phone and tablet but not on desktop app

I’ve got various Youtube Let’s Play series downloaded and added to my plex server. It’s a little janky, but it works. Except for posters on the desktop app. On my phone and tablet the posters show up on the home screen just fine, but on the desktop app they just appear as blank spots.

Any ideas why this is happening? My plex server is running 1.22.0.4163 but I’ve been having this issue for a while now so it’s not a regression.
