Pre-Roll Options

I was able to find a few old postings about pre-roll videos being integrated into Plex, I have my server setup to play a quick intro video for “my server” for the movies, however I was also wanting this feature for TV Shows as well.

So idea is to also allow for a pre-roll intro video before TV Shows are played and have an option to set so I can choose if its for every episode or if they watch ep 1 and then followed by ep 2 it would only play the one time for ep 1, but if they watched ep 1 one day, then the next day decided to come back and watch ep 2 then it should play for ep 2 if that makes sense but not again if they immediately followed with ep 3.

I’ve voted for this but would like to add - better pre-roll options for films too - couple of basic ideas for example:

  • Genre matching (have a pre-roll/group of pre-roll for horror movies, another for action movies etc)
  • pre-roll sets (option to have a few pre-roll fields that can be enabled/disabled)

Really any love to prerolls would be appreciated
