Preserve audio from compression due to remote stream bitrate limit

Hello there!

My Plex Media Server is configured to limit remote stream bitrate to 40Mbps.

Sadly, even if video quality stays very good, audio quality appears to be greatly reduced due to additional compression (due to the remote stream bitrate limit).

For instance with this movie, 640kbps AC3 is reduced to 390kbps OPUS…

In this scenario, I don’t think that the audio quality sacrifice is fair enough to win 250kbps.

Is there any way to preserve audio from compression (if it is supported by the client of course) and just reduce video quality?
