If that’s what you’re aiming for… there’s already an existing feature suggestion asking for that functionality. I suggest you vote/comment in that thread instead in order to avoid distracting the attention/support (=votes).
You all know this needs to happen.
We are paying lots of money to plex and end up with corrupt databases and the possibility of losing years of watch histories.
So, yes there should be an option for Plex Pass subscribers to have a cloud based watch history, so that you never have to worry about losing your watch history, because that is the most important aspect of the library.
At the least there should be an option for a cloud based watch history backup, maybe weekly?

We're very close to being able to upload all the media to a storage service (I'm hoping Bitcasa pans out), then to serve it from any server at any time.
The ability to sync a 'just the facts'(tm) database to this folder would be a huge help to this users-in-charge world vision; something that Plex would use as the primary database for watched status.
Any server would read this in real time, just like the clients do, and if I end an episode from one server, it would show the next one when…
