Press Play - Nothing happens

Plex server is working
Other gadgets, TV’s and PC’s play movies, tv shows etc

But a Samsung smart tv doesn’t.
It finds all the shows, but when once is selected and is “pressed” nothing happens.

Can anyone help?

If you go into the settings of the app can you tell me what version number it is. and which model number is your TV

is this when clicking on a Movie or TV show poster you cannot get details screen with summaries and such, or when you click on the item nothing plays?

I will get the info to you when I am back home

However

  • the show is selected successfully
  • the info comes up
  • when the “play” option is selected then nothing happens, the info screen (with cast etc) remains

The tv - Samsung QE43Q60AA
Version - Samsung version 5.48.1 for client

however
I made the following change and that seems to have worked
Settings → Advanced → Allow Insecure Connections
is set to Always, and on the server, ensure that Settings →
Network → Secure connections is set to Preferred.
