Roku Plex Version#:6.6
Apparently, this bug has been known since 2019 at least (Back button or “X” at end of movie takes you to next movie in a playlist instead of back) A Plex Employee said they would look into it, but it’s still happening.
Yep! STILL hasn’t been fixed.
I believe that’s correct. Hitting the Back button near the end of a video is suppose to take you to the post play screen. If you using a playlist, there is no post-play screen so it just starts the next video. Hit back twice to get back to your list.
Except that it doesn’t behave like that, hitting back twice just skips ahead to items. (Pressing back as fast as possible just results in it going through the whole list until it reaches the end)
I just tested and it’s working as expected for me. It should only go to the next item if the current one is near the end (90% complete). Which Roku device do you have?
Roku TV C112X Software Version 9.4.0 Build 4190-93
Hmm. I was testing on a Roku TV but a different brand. Can you reproduce the problem and get me logs from the Roku? Roku Logs | Plex Support Follow the local device logging section.
It does this on my TCL Roku TV and on my Roku Ultra.
I found that TCL released a new firmware for their Roku TVs recently, like in the last few days. Can you check if this applies to you guys?
Also, can you try playing a TV episode normally (not a playlist) and see if hitting back causes the post-play to appear?
Edit - This is the 9.4 firmware.
