Prevent thumbnails for photos library

Hello,

It might be a silly question (sorry if it is the case) but is there a way to avoid creating thumbnails for photos library (folders)?
When we have 100K+ images, it means that plex will duplicate all pictures in order to create small thumbnails.
Even if plex does a great job to compress them, it might still become an issue in term of size and number of files.

Do you think we could have an option to deactivate any thumbnails (not only video) for photos library ?

If you remove the thumbnails how would you know what the photo is? You’d have to go off of the file name alone.

Thank you @anon18523487 for the quick answer. It is indeed a very good point, but most of my folders could be considered as Gallery, so I will only add a poster for it, which will help me find the albums I am looking for (+ the name as you mentionned).
Another idea could be to generate thumbnails on the fly, when we go in the folder and keep them in memory (in order to avoid storing several Gb on the disk) ?
